Volkswagen Golf VII: Details Continue Trickle

After a German car magazine for some information about the upcoming Volkswagen Golf VII managed to find out, claiming the Autocar now even all the official details available. And the British magazine duly enters in the numbers.

In early September, prior to the big, official presentation at the Paris Motor Show, the new Volkswagen Golf VII in Berlin are presented to several guests, including us. These guests have the privilege to be the first with the new Golf acquainted. But thanks to Autocar, and before Auto Motor und Sport, we know almost all of the seventh generation of Volkswagen's midsize sedan.

Everything grows
According to the British, the Golf VII 4255 mm long, 1799 mm wide and 1452 mm sticks it into the air. With these dimensions is the seventh generation of a solid 56 mm longer than the Golf VI. The width is 13 mm, but the height will actually declined by 28 millimeters. This gives the new Golf a somewhat silhouette resulting in a more dynamic appearance. Interestingly, the wheelbase increases; 59 millimeters has joined and that typically delivers more interior space. Thus, the rear legroom by 15 millimeters are increased. In line with all that extra space also contains the default boot more content, from 350 to 380 liters. And to the loading of messages to simplify the sill with a few centimeters lower.

After seven generations of the Volkswagen Golf VII thus become a big man. All he has to competitors in terms of size as the Opel Astra, Alfa Giulietta and sister model, the new Seat Leon, behind. For all models, Volkswagen their known electronic XDS differential available as well as adaptive steering and variable driving modes (Eco, Sport, Normal, Individual) and adaptive dampers and a camera system that allows 360 degrees around the car can be watched.
