Kia Soul 2012 with HD Radio?

The 2012 Kia soul will offer company installed HD Radio, adding the brand to nineteen other automotive brands offering HD radios.

The company announced the 2012 Kia Soul will come with HD Radio. The previous three car models are Kia Optima, Kia Sorento and Kia Sportage.

Why KIA offers HD Radio in 2012 Soul

Lexus and Toyota have said all of their radios with HD Radio Technology will also include the iTunes features.

HD Radio is already present in more than 2,000 stations. Today, there are over 2,000 AM & FM stations broadcasting with HD Radio Technology with more than 1,300 additional digital only FM HD2/HD3/HD4 multicast channels sending new exciting programming.

The Kia Soul comes in three trims: Soul, Soul+ and Soul! (Exclaim). Standard is an AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio system including Sirius XM Satellite Radio and three months of free service if the buyer chooses to activate that. USB and auxiliary input jacks are located in the center console.

The Soul! (Exclaim) trim level includes HD Radio as standard along with a 4.3-inch color touch screen, rear camera display and a power sunroof.

The news comes on the heels of last week’s announcement by Toyota that it will include HD Radio as a factory-installed option in certain models of the 2012 Camry, arriving at dealerships in October.
