VW Golf R Convertible presented

To wait for the new Volkswagen Golf VII convertible mitigate the current homeless Gulf toned up R model. This is the fastest ever open Gulf.

The VW Golf R we already knew for some time. Now also available as open Golf R powerhouse. Under the hood we find naturally the 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo that also lies in its close sibling.

Coupled to a six-speed DSG gearbox is a sprint to the hundred in 6.4 seconds behind, almost a second slower than the normal R. That does about 5.5 seconds with DSG gearbox.

Open drive requires some sacrifices, it appears again. The top speed is set at 250 km / h.

we see a not too subtle spoiler kit around, and how it could be otherwise, an R-logo and daytime running lights. Behind the dark about bi-xenon headlights and the mirror are dark tinted.

By the 18 - or 19-inch wheels are painted black calipers visible and the tail lamps used Volkswagen 'smoked' LED lighting. A diffuser and chromed tailpipes on the exhaust must finish the picture.

The R is 2.5 inches closer above the asphalt than the average house-garden-and-kitchen Golf. The four sports seats are finished in Vienna Cool Leather pride where the R-logo adorns.

Also on the steering wheel, handbrake and gearshift we find leather, finished with gray stitching. For a racy appearance are the pedals of brushed aluminum. In the spring, the Golf R convertible Dutch showrooms within roles.
