After a short leaflet session presented the new Honda Fit in Japan, the model is known to us as Honda Jazz. European specifications are thus not yet, but that is a first impression of Honda's new mini-MPV not in the way.
The new Honda Jazz is as we always know him: a stereotype mini-MPV in the B segment. The focus is primarily on providing maximum interior space, though that does not mean that another customer wishes such a pleasant ride and a luxurious interior unfulfilled. The current Jazz owes its huge success - of more than 4 million copies sold - just by being a smart-rounder. So why would Honda change this philosophy?
Civic-nose
the new Honda Jazz may be very attached to old traditions, he looks indeed not completely out. The now completed cases as corny round lines of the present generation are replaced by a sharper, more modern lines with the front most attention grabbing him. The Honda Civic and CR-V have clearly served as an example, although this does not apply for the interior a lot less futuristic doing to.
To make things even more exciting is what make an RS version with a burly body kit. Whether this sports package also meets our interpretation of the 'RS' label is doubtful. We do not even know whether the model also comes to Europe because Mugen, the house tuner of Honda Japan, is responsible for it.
Conventional automatic
In Japan the Honda Fit will be available with three engines: a 1.3 and a 1.5 liter four-cylinder that comes in two variants, with and without extra help from an electric motor. On the Dutch market will be again the hybrid score the best, but that will be a time not only due to the low consumption. Although a theoretical one in 36 is enchanting for the Japanese Honda Fit Hybrid low, the new Hybrid become more interesting because the work is done by switching 7-speed DCT dual-clutch automatic. However, the step less CVT hung on the willows, Honda has not, in the versions with just one engine will still be available, in addition to a manual.
