Honda is preparing the launch of the new generation of civic Type R in the United States. According to leaked information, the new model will be offered there with price of us $33,9 in the touring version, which represents a difference of us $10000 compared to the Civic Si and a US $2,220 reduction in front of the price of Ford Focus Rs.

The new Honda Civic Type R in the touring version for the North American market will be fitted with a series with leather-coated steering wheel, sports benches, multimedia system with GPS navigator and seven-inch touch screen, sound system with 12 speakers and 540 watts of power, aluminum pedals, among others.

Already the engine will be the 2.0 liter turbo four-cylinder gasoline, capable of developing 310 horsepower and 40.8 lbf of torque. Next to it is a manual transmission of six gears and front-traction system with limited sliding differential. With this apparatus, the new Civic Type R has managed to position itself as the fastest front traction car in Nürburgring, with 7:43.8.

The Japanese manufacturer must announce the arrival of the new Civic Type R in the next few weeks.
