Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Concept

Last year’s Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Concept, which GM produced to celebrate the 50th anniversary of America’s beloved Corvette, and star as one of the cars of the Transformers movies, has been spotted again--but this time there’s something different.

If the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Concept doesn’t ring a bell, the concept--in coupe form--was first displayed at the 2009 Chicago Auto Show before it starred as Sideswipe in the movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

General Motors used the Chicago Auto Show to introduce the world to its latest concept vehicle, the Corvette Stingray, which will be featured in the upcoming Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen movie on June 26th. In robot mode, the Corvette Stingray Concept will take the form of Sideswipe, who will reportedly be a skater with wheels for feet.

With another Transformers movie also comes another great looking muscle car, this time around we get the Corvette Stingray Concept from the 2nd movie… only this time it’s a convertible!

This Corvette Stingray convertible looks superb, and is sure to be a hit with all fans of the Corvette, and of course Transformers, we can only hope, along with all the other fans, that somehow some of this Corvette Stingray’s design cues make it through to a production model sometime in the future, it sure would make an awesome sight cruising down the highway and we are already salivating at the thought of something that looks like this actually being available in the showrooms.
