In the end, the X6 M comes with a tuned version of the 4.4L V8, making 555 horsepower. The 35i and 50i X6s equipped with 8-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic manual mode and steering wheel paddle change. Hybrids use a version of 7-speed Steptronic transmission, while the M gets a 6-speed automatic.

Package active seat ventilation added automatically adjusts the driver's seat bolsters, seat-ventilated and perforated leather seats. Sport Package, also available in a choice, 35i and 50i adding a 19 - or 20-inch wheels, upgraded suspension and Active Hardware darker interior and exterior trim.

EPA fuel economy estimates stand at 16 mpg city/23 mpg highway and 19 mpg combined.
