Automobile manufacturers continue to develop a machine that is more streamlined and efficient, but still powerful. One South Korean manufacturer Hyundai, which recently introduced a 1.2 liter engine capacity of T-GDI Kappa.
Engine with four-cylinder unit and four valves per cylinder, turbocharged direct injection system and variable valve technology to increase efficiency. Direct injection system injects fuel directly into the combustion chamber, instead of mixing with air in the intake manifold. This creates more efficient combustion process, and improves mileage.
Unfortunately, Hyundai does not explain the overall engine performance, but noted that it only emits tiny engine emissions of less than 110 grams of CO2 per km.
The new engine is expected to debut late next year, for B and C segment cars like Hyundai i20 and i30, and may also be used on the machine and cee'd Kia Picanto.
In Europe, Volkswagen has also been implementing the use of engine 1.2-liter four-cylinder small, to the cars that are more compact.
