Ford 1.5-liters EcoBoost coming

Ford introduces a new Ecoboost engine: one with a displacement of 1.5 liters.
The new engine is a four cylinder.

The block benefits from things like direct injection and variable valve timing, like the other Ecoboost. Ford promises that the 1.5-liter Ecoboost four-cylinder is a bit quieter than the existing engines. The power and torque at the level of the existing 1.6-liter Ecoboost, but the new engine has thereby less fuel.

Mondeo
The new engine is at least in the U.S. Fusion and our Mondeo lie. At a later stage, the new block doubtless to cars like the Focus. In Chinese, the Mondeo 1.5 Ecoboost good for 177 hp and 240 Nm.

The displacement of 1.5 liters is not for nothing selected: in many markets worldwide there are tax incentives for cars with engines with a displacement of 1.5 liters or less. From 2014, Ford annual total of 1.6 million Ecobostmotor produce.
